Billy has been working in many different social work teams, organizations and universities/colleges as a social work frontline practitioner, field supervisor, social work services manager, planner, researcher, and, trainer/educator/facilitator, both in Hong Kong and in mainland China (urban and rural sector).Billy has experiences in youth services, community services, labour education and organizing, community economy, community rehabilitation, community care and mutual help, rural development, community cultural development and climate change adaptation.Besides working directly thru group work and commuity work, conducting lectures, training courses, workshops and researches, Billy also adapts community cultrue and art (especially community music and collective song-writing) in his social work practices.Billy is a grassroots-folk singer-songwriter. His songs are written from stories and sentiments he collected from grassroots people and communities. He and his musicians/bands has been performing in Hong Kong and mainland China in cafe and bars, bookshops, NGOs' events, and, selected formal and informal festivals and GIGs.
