I teach 100- level, 200-level, and developmental-level mathematics and statistics courses. I've used a variety of fashions including: traditional lecture, online, hybrid, and flipped classroom. At the 2016 NEMATYC conference, I presented some preliminary findings on student results from a flipped classroom compared to traditional lecture method.Developed or worked on several innovative practices such as:1) I was a 2014 grant recipient to create an open-access online course that provides remediation for students who scored too low on Accuplacer exam to place into necessary math courses. Hundreds of NSCC students have used this course to place into higher levels of college math.2) Member of a team of 3 that created a new graduation pathway for non-STEM students which created better suited courses with higher passing rates and an accelerated path to graduation for thousands of NSCC students.3) Founder and creator of the first MAT 143H - Honors Statistics course at NSCC4) First math coordinator of NSCC Early College partnership with local high schools
