Audit Experience & Responsibilities:Acting senior in charge for some of Ireland's largest insurance companies, both life and general insurance, as well as Private Equity and Investment Management clients. As senior in charge, my responsibilities include;- Overall planning, testing and completion of financial statement audits in line with International Auditing Standards (ISA).- Testing of client control environment (design & implementation and operating effectiveness).- Effectively managing resources allocated to audit jobs (up to 6 person teams), ensuring work of all team members is completed in line with agreed timelines.- Independent pricing of various investment types and ensuring presentation of same is in line with IFRS.- Communicating as first point of contact with senior management of clients.- Managing communication lines between audit team members and KPMG management.- Review and audit of client regulatory returns, including Solvency II.- Preparation of client deliverables for high level management reviewOther Experience includes;- Provision of IFRS advice on revenue recognition to an Irish aircraft leasing company.- Completion of two management consultancy engagements (same client), assessing and advising on the design, implementation and operating effectiveness of a new loan management system for a large Irish Banking client.- 6 month secondment to the finance team of one of Ireland's largest health insurance companies. Duties included;> Preparation of monthly key performance indicators (KPIs).> Quarterly Stamp Duty Testing and regulatory returns> Bank reconciliation process – reconciling and understanding the differences. > Statutory Accounts Preparation.> Other ad hoc work such as monthly recs, MI reports etc.
