I am the Health and Safety Officer for the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department, as an administrative staff member, attention is toward the well being and safety of all of our citizens including all City of Mobile personnel. In this role, I conduct accident and injury investigations and administer the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department's DriveCam Program. I also lead our community risk reduction efforts, overseeing a highly qualified team that includes our Public Education Officer and the M.F.R.D. Chaplain. Before this tour of duty, I was the Fire Code Official within the Bureau of Fire Prevention - and was lucky enough to have worked with amazing professionals within the public and private sectors and I am honored to have written the 2009 and the currently adopted 2012 Fire Code Ordinances for the City of Mobile.I am truly passionate about my work and always eager to connect with other professionals. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, I think my favorite is to learn all I can about a project or assignment and initiate connections with potential internal (personnel) or external (citizen) customers, that may be affected by final decisions, in order to understand his or her goals and objectives, we usually work well together when we strive to achieve a reasonable outcome beneficial to all.
