Provided technical support and training for approximately 400 staff members throughout the school district and maintained over 1,600 computers, as well as network/sys admin functions, including network security and server maintenance. Worked in a multi-platform environment. At the time the school district ran on Windows 2003/2008 servers (Hyper-V/VM Ware), which I managed for end-user resources (file/print sharing, drive mapping, group policy management). Workstations consisted of Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Apple OSX. Was responsible for supporting specialized software in areas of Special Services and Food Services, as well as data backup/recovery solutions, assisting with telephony configuration (VOIP/CUE) and AD/Exchange account maintenance. Also managed three other full-time technicians as well as one part-time tech, provided escalated technical support, handled employee scheduling, developed system images, and configure/support Axis PoE security camera systems for facilities administration. While employed by Lexington School District Four, work order response time was significantly reduced by establishing IT satellite offices at six locations and creating an effective schedule that accommodates all sites with our limited workforce and high workload.
