Grower Freedom Alliance (GFA) is at the forefront of a critical mission to reshore generic (off-patent) agrichemical manufacturing back to the United States. Over the past few decades, this manufacturing has largely been moved offshore, primarily to China and India, due to cheaper labor and less regulatory burden. However, the U.S. has the potential to compete in chemical manufacturing, and now is the time to reclaim our position. GFA paves the way for a more sustainable and cost-effective future for the agricultural industry by providing supply chain security.GFA is a “group purchasing business,” where farmers and ag retailers are members. GFA will share lower pricing, higher quality products, and rebates with members based on GFA’s distribution profitability. The business strategy is to create a large group of members interested in partnering in this plan. We are confident in lowering prices and increasing quality. Vulpes Corp, a chemical process engineering company, is a U.S. corporation. It was founded in 2018 by a family with an extensive history in chemical manufacturing. Vulpes is well known for creating Carbon Black Acid, which was prominently displayed when Vulpes Corp was a national top 10 semi-finalist at the American Farm Bureau Ag Innovation Challenge in 2022. The founders of Vulpes have been innovative in the creation of many unique processes in chemical manufacturing over the last 20-plus years.

Grower Information Services (GISC) is an agricultural technology company that works closely with its producers. GiSC is founded on the premise that growers need an effortless way to securely store and access their information and then share that information with those who serve and support them. GiSC works to protect members' data rights while assisting them in maximizing the value of their data. Within GiSC managed projects, Growers are provided a secure place to store their farm data. We work with private companies, government entities, universities, and researchers, but our goal is to help the growers. How do we help all producers get the most from their data? GiSC creates ways to collect, store, and present the needed data to farmers and their partners. Parametric insurance products pay a specific amount of loss for a particular and measured event. In AIR Parametric’s case, weather measurements involve too hot or too cold/ too wet or too dry. The product has exceptionally customizable limits and coverage triggers for the insurance customer to mitigate risks of extremes that we are currently seeing in weather. The product is encouraged with a streamlined claims process because transparent data creates objectivity and replaces adjusters and negotiations with the insurance company. Lastly, the product pays almost immediately upon a triggering weather event, and all limits and triggers are uniquely developed to meet the customer’s local conditions. The first product has been launched in the Dairy Industry to address heat stress in dairy cattle.

HIGs have been working to enhance collaboration between experts with remote access to a worksite where another worker is positioned. The business has a granted patent developed around a novice investigator onsite working with an expert at a second site, and the expert is collaborating remotely with the onsite worker. This could be diagnosing and repairing complex equipment or rural/remote healthcare. This patent allows the remote expert to use a pointer or light source to communicate with the onsite worker and create almost human-like gestures to direct the analysis, repairs, or treatment. InOut Biome has developed a sampling capsule that allows microbiome samples to be taken from the small intestine. This sample is analyzed using next-generation sequencing technology. This has enabled researchers to explore and understand the gut microbiome from a broader and deeper perspective by using the power of computing. Human and animal health has been connected to what is happening within our GI tract. This capsule is not electronic and is entirely mechanical, lowering the patient's risk. The small intestine microbiome is unique to each individual, and there is no good proxy today for understanding it. Proxy samples such as fecal material have proved elusive to determine what is happening in the small intestine. InOut Biome granted patents and patents pending on the technology. This is an exciting time to understand the correlation between gut health and the overall health of animals and humans.

Bula Land Mills is food processing and manufacturing plant specifically for Grain Sorghum. This is a direct from farm to consumer approach to marketing. Milo or Grain Sorghum is an ancient grain which provides astonishing health benefits from its dietary properties to its antioxidants. My family has grown Milo in Texas since 1944 and we have recently discovered the unbelievable health benefits in protein, minerals, antioxidants, fiber, and essential vitamins. I grew up believing the only use of Milo was cattle feed and then I learned that hundreds of millions of people in other countries are consuming Milo in their diets. This ancient grain has been used in the human diet for thousands of years. Grain Sorghum remains found in the Nabta Playa archaeological site in the Western Desert, southern Egypt dating back to 8000 B.C.E. That was an eye opener and so in October 2020 I began to experiment with sorghum in my diet. This ancient whole grain can be grown without irrigation, and is NON-GMO, Gluten free, Lectin free, Vegan, and tastes great. It can be popped, ground to flour, made to pasta, or boiled like rice. I find it has a great neutral taste that absorbs many of the flavors of whatever it is complimenting. It is an exciting project in responsible farming, sustainability, and trying to meet the consumer with a product they are desiring. I ask, “Why not Milo for your ancient grain which is a regenerative crop to soils and can be grown without irrigation?” This is a U.S. crop that meets the requirements of Today’s Consumer. We mill it so that it cooks in just minutes and is great for breakfast like oatmeal or used in other dishes in the place of white rice. Portadam is a company with 40 years of experience and 6,000 projects in controlling water and flooding. They have the best of class in rapidly deployed flood mitigation solutions. Their knowledge and expertise gained by protecting critical infrastructure, as well as commercial and industrial property is unparalleled. Providing Daily Meals to the Homebound in Sudan, Texas and the close surrounding area. Formed in late 2018 from the catalyst of a local resident, Cheryl Sowder, who saw the need to provide daily nutrition to homebound people in our small community. This ministry has provided thousands of meals since origination and is operated by volunteers all over this little Texas community. Proud to get to ride along and see the success of this non-profit. Thankful to the community and the local churches for doing their part in this ministry. Also thankful to Shelby's Bridge, another local nonprofit, that fixes all the meals.
