Billy is an electrical engineer with extensive experience in the electrical environment within the power generation, transmission, distribution and mining industries. His responsibilities have included project management, feasibility studies and design, specification and implementation of high and medium voltage, renewable and generation projects.He also has extensive experience in electrical system studies, power factor correction, electrical network design (HV and MV), diesel generation plant design, renewables interconnection and grid compliance studies, renewable energy and micro-grid specification and design, integration of high and medium voltage protection and metering schemes, and insulation coordination studies.Billy has been in involved in large EPC and EPCM projects, ranging from feasibility studies and concept designs through to project execution and commissioning.PEC Engineers (PEC) was established in 2010 and prides itself in being an engineering consultancy company that provides high-quality, innovative engineering services to its clients. Billy started as an assistant electrical engineer in the power systems division. He proceeded to work as a senior power systems consultant on multiple projects. Duties and responsibilities included:• Project management.• Feasibility studies.• System studies, including load flow, network analysis, insulation coordination studies and protectiongrading.• Design, specification and implementation of medium voltage power factor correction.• Design, specification and implementation of medium / high voltage electrical networks (distribution and transmission).• Design, specification and implementation of medium / high voltage protection schemes.• Design, specification and implementation of medium / high voltage switchyards.• Design, specification and implementation of power plants (diesel generators).

Billy started as an apprentice electrician and obtained his electrical trade qualification, after which he obtained his national higher diploma in electrical and mechanical engineering, and his BEng degree in electrical and electronic engineering.
