• Worked with a team to develop an advanced communications system for Navy ships. Integrated VHDL design on Xilinx SoC FPGA. Resolved timing issues and optimized VHDL components to address resource constraints. Performed hardware/software integration tasks for embedded Linux system with two FPGAs connected via a GTX interface. Designed a Python test GUI for debug and automated test. • Worked with team to design the avionics architecture for the Dynetics Human Landing System, which will land astronauts on the moon in 2024. • Researched opportunities to leverage space processing platforms for AI/ML acceleration. Worked with team to write a proposal for a broad agency announcement.• Scrum Master for multi-discipline agile scrum team working to design next generation reconfigurable processing module for space applications. Ported wideband transmitter design targeting 3GSps DAC onto PolarFire and Kintex Ultrascale FPGA development kits. • Maintained ground support equipment (GSE) hardware and software for video processing. • Involved in FPGA design and verification for space camera system that contains visible and infrared focal planes. Led FPGA verification effort and design of IR ROIC interface. Led design of ground support test equipment hardware and software utilizing VHDL for FPGAs, C# for GUI and LabVIEW for image analysis software. Added ability to execute python scripts for controlling camera modes and performing image captures.• Mentored others in System Verilog and UVM for VHDL verification.• Led small team to verify FPGAs used in a space communication system per the NPR 7150.2A specification. Utilized the Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) for creating FPGA test bench environments. Created re-useable verification IP and used third-party IP to verify PCI, Ethernet, SRAM, MIL-STD-1553, SPI, and UART interfaces as well as AES Encryption and Forward Error Correction (FEC) algorithms. Worked with team to develop Python environment for flight software verification.
