As a Training and Development expert with over 20 years’ experience at senior management level I pride myself on delivering complex operational training interventions at all levels. I have successfully managed large and small teams in both Multisite and Head Office environments for both Public and Private sectors. Programme ManagerBlackburn College Jan 1994 - Apr 2001Solely responsible for the negotiation with Sepang Institute in Kuala Lumpur in addition to the Government of Malaysia. This led to the B.A in Business Studies and the B.A in Business Admin. Degree courses being franchised in Malaysia. The first of its type to do so.Responsibility for the BA (Hons) Leisure management, GNVQ and HND/C Leisure programmes incorporating pastoral care for approximately 150 students. Administrative duties included the liaison and collaboration with partner institutions such as Glamorgan University, the monitoring and academic assessment of students on an ongoing basis together with the recording and compilation of student grades and reports. Responsible for the recruitment of part-time members of teaching staff to deliver the various modules on the above courses together with the supervision of a small team of full time teaching staff. Maintaining full teaching timetable at all levels.Additional duties within the college include representing the Division of Law, Leisure and Accounts on cross college committees to promote links with local schools and major leisure business organisations - including Blackburn Rovers Football Club. Implemented and developed the written material to support the educational programme this led to my secondment to Malaysia. As head lecturer I was responsible for all aspects of the course and was chair of the clarification panel.
