I am a blind Linux user with over 15 years of experience, deeply committed to accessibility and inclusive technology. Throughout my journey, I have actively contributedto the Linux accessibility community and worked on various projects.I started out by writing some customizations for the Orca screen reader that provided extra functionality, such as access to local weather with a key press. I have also been involved with the design and some coding for the console screen reader Fenrir located at https://github.com/chrys87/fenrir.In an effort to expand my capabilities, I am delving into web accessibility. I am learning about, and applying, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, (WCAG) so that the web can be a more accessible and inclusive place for everyone. I am also applying this knowledge to my own projects such as Linux Game Manager, located at https://git.2mb.codes/~stormdragon2976/linux-game-managerWhen I'm not coding, or learning new skills, I enjoy playing guitar, creating smiles and happiness by making balloon animals, and playing games. I also love to read; I love a good story. I enjoy reading to my children, fostering their imagination and love for literature.

Accessibility AnalystLc Industries (Ablr Works) Mar 2023 - PresentRemoteI have been learning about Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, (WCAG). I am preparing for the Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies, (CPACC) exam. My training also includes working with axe Auditor software to check websites for accessibility problems. We have covered other tools, such as Accessible Name and Description Inspector, (ANDI), and other JavaScript based accessibility utilities. During my internship, I have had opportunity to learn from professional development opportunities, including workshops, job shadowing sessions, and team meetings. I have always considered myself excellent at communication, but after attending some of the guest speaker sessions, I believe my skills have further improved.

OwnerStormux Nov 2019 - PresentRemoteStormux started as a continuation of the work started on blind accessible Raspberry Pi images started by F123. The images are called Stormux, but my brand has also expanded to cover some of the other accessibility projects I have created including audiogame-manager and I38. Stormux also does classes from time to time depending on interest gleaned from the email list. So far topics covered include using regular expressions and getting user input in bash.

Python InstructorCavi Jan 2019 - PresentI teach an introductory Python course. Classes supplement the text, provided by Cisco.I tend to focus on learning concepts and the language instead of using a heavily math based approach. We do lab work on concepts as they are learned, such as loops, if statements, and eventually classes, moving into object oriented programming near the end of the course.I try to keep my students engaged and interested in the course work. I find out what students want to write, and base my teaching strategy toward helping them achieve their goals.

DeveloperF123 Technology That Enables May 2018 - Sep 2019RemoteDevelopment of the F123Light Linux distribution for the Raspberry Pi 3B+. Designed and emplimented easy to use interfaces with multilingual support using gettext. The command line interface, (CLI), used a software called pdmenu. I wrote software to make a very light weight window manager accessible to the Orca screen reader, and we even had a functional desktop which was primarily keyboard shortcut driven.I worked on scripts to port the F123Light distribution to the X86_64 platform. I was also in charge of getting a laptop version running on the Pinebook, a small ARM architecture based laptop.
