→ Led wide ranging coal mining maintenance activities covering more than 100 pieces of mining equipment operating on a 24-hour basis while overseeing 15 supervisors and over 150 employees and contractors.→ Developed and executed detailed maintenance plans based on forecast needs that sought to optimise the availability and reliability of equipment and prevent long-term outages from impacting operations.→ Conducted investigations into reported maintenance issues, undertook various tests and analyses to determine the root cause/s and introduced creative yet feasible strategies that directly addressed the causes.→ Planned and executed specific improvement projects designed to increase maintenance efficiency, strengthen productivity, and reduce costs where possible without harmfully disrupting regular operations.→ Managed the deployment of the maintenance department budget, reviewing expenditure, capitalising upon opportunities to improve cost efficiency, and reporting on budget compliance regularly.→ Guided a high-performing operational team throughout their responsibilities while focusing on encouraging them to adopt an improvement mindset and pursue professional growth and development.
