• Set up finance and organizational processes, policies, and procedures for Scoutbee’s US operations.• Lead the implementation of Oracle NetSuite from QuickBooks in the US and Datev in Germany to have a single platform using multiple books (US-GAAP in the US), HGB (German GAAP for the parent company), and IFRS for our consolidated financials. Set up electronic payments and vendor bill approvals within NetSuite, and intercompany reconciliations are done automatically every month before closing the books. I also assisted the team in linking Salesforce with NetSuite via Celigo for sales order management and client invoicing and syncing Expensify for expense report management.• Lead the implementation of financial management and month-end process by guaranteeing the delivery of business reports and metrics to the Senior Management team.• Publish complete financial statements and commentary for the US entity, including actual P&L variance to budget and prior periods to be presented to the board.• Partnered with the Senior Management team to lead the development of financial plans, budgets, long-term business/funding strategy, and cash-flow management.• Coordinate treasury, payment, tax, and administrative tasks to ensure proper processing of all accounts receivable/payable, cash disbursements, collections, revenue recognition, payroll processing, and month-end reconciliations (of bank and balance sheet accounts).• Built proper segregation of duties along with controls/checks and balances to reduce the risk of fraud to a minimum and ensure that the finance team understands and mitigates vital elements of the operations risk profile by building and monitoring reliable control systems.• Lead the relationship with external auditors and ensure all PBC materials are complete and satisfy auditors’ requirements.• Lead the relationship with our banking, tax and accounting, insurance, and legal partners and providers.

• Set up finance and organizational processes, policies, and procedures for Solar Biotech’s operations. Implemented internal controls to ensure proper checks and balances are in place.• Successfully built the F&A team and managed the Supply Chain Manager, Procurement Manager, and Communication and Social Development Manager.• Successfully implemented NetSuite ERP for all accounting activities supplemented with Expensify for expense report management, Procurify for purchase orders management, Sage Fixed Assets for fixed assets management, and bill.com for accounts payable management.• Built the Finance and Accounting processes from the ground up while managing AP, AR, GL, fixed assets, payroll, monthly closing, and financial reporting, as well as: o Tax Reporting and Payment: Includes local, state, and federal. Manage business property tax, sales and use tax submittals. Manage tax exemption reporting, including R&D tax and other tax exemptions. Work with outside accounting firms to submit state and federal income tax returns. Review purchasing transactions to confirm correct tax classification across multiple destination states. o Treasury: Review bank balance daily and manage fund transfers where necessary. Set up and confirm all outgoing wires. o Audit: Work with outside accounting firms to conduct financial audits or reviews. o Grants: offer support for filing and reporting on government grants. o Payroll and employee onboarding• Implemented TriNet as a PEO for HR services and payroll and provided various employee benefits, including health, vision, dental, LTD, STD, AD&D, 401K, etc.• Worked with an investment bank in NYC with the capital raise efforts. We successfully raised several SAFE notes while working on Series A.
