Billy Lee Kok Chi has more than 20 years of experience in growing and managing IT businesses and 18 years in entrepreneurship, he has in-depth knowledge in the Internet, Telecommunication, Cloud, Data Centre and IT Outsourcing industry in the Asia Pacific region. Billy had served multiple leadership roles in Hitachi Sunway Group overseeing its businesses in ASEAN as EVP of Hitachi Sunway Information Systems Sdn Bhd, CEO and Director of Hitachi Sunway Data Centre Services Sdn Bhd and Managing Director of Hitachi Sunway Information Systems (Thailand). Billy began his career as technology executive in 1995 then turned entrepreneur and founded few companies including Cyberpage, Call2SIP, Surf City(acquired by local entrepreneur in 2000) , Hostpro2u.com a leading cloud hosting company (acquired by Eglobal in 2006), FREENET(acquired by Hitachi Sunway in 2014). Billy was the founding & 2 terms chairman of the Malaysian Data Centre Alliance (MDCA) in Malaysia; committee member of Outsourcing Malaysia (OM), he also held various board positions at Internet Alliance Malaysia (IA) and also served as panellist for Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration (KLRCA).He is a frequent speaker at industry and business conferences around the world. Billy holds a BA in Management Information System from the Washington State University.
