Teal Drones expands the uses and capabilities of drones with our first product, the Teal One. By incorporating the ability for on-the-edge machine learning and AI, as well as a robust application SDK for any developer to use, the Teal One is designed to be easily tailored for any use case.I joined Teal as the first employee, joining the Founder / CEO to help execute on his vision. We work as partners to manage all aspects of the business, including overall strategy, team building and growth, stakeholder management, and fundraising. I directly manage all non-product development functions including all finance, marketing, operations, HR, and supply chain.Together with the CEO, I've helped lead the company through two fundraising rounds, with seemingly endless investor meetings and slide presentations, resulting in successfully raising ~$25M. I also directly managed the debt fundraising process for the business. We grew the business to 40 employees and successfully led the team from product concept through fully implemented manufacturing and product delivery. With our team, we have been able to execute on all software and hardware engineering, deliver on a marketing and customer service strategy, and implement all manufacturing and supply chain processes. We continue to expand the business into new enterprise and government verticals.

Led the 3PL business with full P&L responsibility following the acquisition of Trans Dynamics and the departure of the prior business owner. I helped lead business growth through an add-on acquisition of a specialty food 3PL, as well as organic growth of 15% of revenue without an incremental increase in costs or headcount. Our team consistently exceeded net income targets throughout the first year post-acquisition.

My focus in Corporate Development was primarily on acquisitions, as well as overall business development and strategy. Led the analysis, due diligence, and closing of two primary oilfield service business in early 2014, as well as participated in the evaluation and due diligence of another business that was acquired shortly after. Led the due diligence, acquisition and integration of Trans Dynamics, a third-party logistics (3PL) business, to expand Savage's service offerings. I subsequently led the business with full P&L responsibility, directing Savage's 3PL strategy, and was responsible for leading the business unit growth strategy.

Xerox Services is the Business Process Outsourcing business of Xerox, making up a large part of Xerox's overall business. I was hired to work directly with the Business Leader and COO of the State Government Solutions business, a $1.5B revenue business that focused on providing outsourced services and solutions to state governments focused primarily on healthcare (Medicaid and Medicare) and other state-provided benefit delivery. My focus was centered primarily on developing an Analytics strategy for the business to more effectively use the data within the business to create value for our customers. Additionally, I worked directly on special projects to reduce costs for the business unit and also to evaluate the overall portfolio of Xerox Services businesses.

Leucadia (NYSE: LUK) is a publicly traded investment company with offices in New York City and Salt Lake City. Leucadia has a large portfolio of holdings across many different industries that includes financial services, mining, real estate, manufacturing, gaming, and more. My responsibilities included working with the management teams of Leucadia’s portfolio companies to develop strategy, identify operational improvements, and create value through add-on acquisitions and other business development initiatives. I was also responsible for helping to develop annual operating budgets and conducting annual management reviews.

Bain & Company is a premier, global management consulting firm that focuses on helping companies solve some of their most critical issues, including strategy, operational improvement, organizational effectiveness, growth strategy, and mergers and acquisitions. My time with Bain was spent in a variety of industries, including industrial chemicals, retail, construction and homebuilding, aerospace, and private equity investment. Strong performance enabled me to spend 6 months in an office transfer to the Stockholm, Sweden office. After learning much and gaining strong experience in strategy and management, I voluntarily left the firm to gain additional business experience in financial investments and transactions.

Milliman is one of the world’s largest providers of actuarial services and products, with offices in major cities across the globe. My primary focus was in the healthcare space, and included working with clients to analyze and manage their healthcare plans and financing, managing their risk, and valuing a variety of insurance products.
