Joining Hixme in it's early years as a startup, I filled many responsibilities to ensure the success and stability of the technology and platform. I built and curated a healthy web applications team with a DevOps culture that met regularly to establish and evolve development standards. The most important of these being agile processes, code reviews, functional and modular programming practices, effective branching and deployment strategies, and always writing and evolving documentation for the next person. 2018• When the principle API developer resigned, I was asked lead the backend team along with the UI team, standardizing and unifying javascript development standards and agile processes.• Hired and managed 2 near shore contract developers• Worked with leadership to establish and manage "delivery teams" for focused project management and development of Hixme's core domains2017• Expanded the UI team with 3 additional full time developers for a team of 6 and assisted the interview processes for project managers and API developers.• Created a reporting solution from structured and unstructured data stored in AWS DynamoDB, using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and S3.• Created hiflow for our engineering team. The participation data brought in by these campaigns can be dissected and sliced in meaningful ways for our clients, and is equipped to handle large volumes of data.Outside of the platform, I have had the opportunity to drive the framework and development standards for Telescope's HTML5 second screen applications. These apps help to increase live viewer participation for our media clients. The second screen apps come in the forms of voting, Twitter and Facebook streams via our custom social APIs, trivia and polls, and whatever new way we can think of to engage the viewer. These participation tools are built responsively, and can be integrated into any web, mobile, or native webview environment.
