I am a Certified Energy Manager, Power Systems and Renewable Energy Engineer currently working for the Airports Company of Zimbabwe in the Airports Development section where l am responsible for projects and maintenance of electrical equipment at all the airports in Zimbabwe. I am also responsible for energy management and efficiency, ensuring the optimum utilization of energy. I previously worked for the Zimbabwe power utility, Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission & Distribution Company (ZETDC), where I was responsible for network planning, design & construction; planning and managing distribution projects, maintenance planning. I have previously worked for Theshani Enterprises in Johannesburg, South Africa, as a Jnr Engineer where l worked on various projects such as high mast lighting, building services and electrification using various software such as ReticMaster, PowerOffice Electrification and MicroStation.I have also worked in building services at the Ministry of Public Works in Zimbabwe where l did design of electrical services covering small power, lighting, telephone & data, preparation of BOQs and costing as well as contractor supervision during construction work. I did my post graduate training at the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission & Distribution Company where l worked on various sections covering power system protection, switch gear maintenance, construction of primary substations, metering and energy management.I hold an M.Sc. in Renewable Energy from the University of Zimbabwe where l also did my B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and an Executive Certificate in Project Management. I have a PRINCE2 Foundation certification from APMG International in project management and another certification from the Association of Energy Engineers as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM). I am very passionate about power systems, renewable energy and project management. I have working knowledge in various software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, ReticMaster, PowerOffice Electrification, MS Projects and SAP PM.
