The principle duties of this position are centered on the creation and maintenance of software tools and reports to aid in the day-to-day operations of the company. Using Microsoft databases and designer tools, I am responsible for creating the database and user interface architecture for both client and ASP applications. Often, the architecture I develop is used to build other applications as needed; so, there is an emphasis on the ability to reuse those components. Reporting for both new and existing applications is accomplished using a mix of tools ranging from Reporting Services to DevExpress.In addition to application design and development, I am responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of new development techniques and tools in order to inform and assist the other members of the department. Designed and developed a windows-based platform to replace the commercial RPG software APS sold. The new product used a combination of Visual Studio 2008, Visual Basic, SQL, and a DB2 database.

Designed and developed a new clinical and billing package to be used in-house. A variety of products and platforms were investigated before a final solution using Visual Studio 2003, Visual Basic, and SQL Server was implemented. My duties also included technical support, database administration, and user training.
