- Lead the team of in-house linguists and freelance translators- Be responsible for the overall Chinese (HK) translation quality, manage the language style guides and terminology database, hire and manage freelancers, assign work within the team- Localize text on Klook platforms and product content- Localize UI on Klook app and website, revamp localized UI to enhance user experience- Translate any urgent content and support immediate business needs such as media releases, internal global-to-local communication, training materials, digital advertisements, etc.- Review translations of other in-house linguists and freelancers. - 8+ years of experience in translating and writing localized copy from English into Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong) for online travel platforms- Experience in leading translation projects within the department- Maintain the quality of website/app content translation/localization in Traditional Chinese- Provide localization ideas and linguistic perspectives for development- Perform language quality assurance and providing feedback and solutions for other stakeholders- Draft a language guide with a glossary for continuous improvement of translations- Conduct website review for inconsistencies and localization issues- Handle translation project management by using computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools- Recruit, manage and supervise freelancers- Mentor juniors and freelancers to ensure their translation quality- Occasionally use computer tools like SQL for querying data- Experience in using social media for marketing campaigns targeting Hong Kong users- Manage 500+ website/app front-end A-B tests for the Chinese language team- Analyze language-specific data to optimize website and campaign performances
