During my 12 months at Mash Media Group, I became an integral member of the operations team and of the company. Mash Media Group produces events for the events industry, whether that is exhibitions, awards ceremonies, networking events or corporate events. - Main point of contact for over 600 hundred exhibitors at International Confex, Event Production Show and office* with a combined attendance of 14,000.- Coordinated the brand's presence at IMEX, IBTM World, UFI, ICCA and other events across the globe. Organising; collateral, accommodation, flights, couriers, signage suppliers, and visa applications.- Managed the distribution of exhibitor collateral at the large exhibitions.- Managed the upload of exhibitors onto the exhibition websites.- Responsible for table planning at the Event Production Awards (400 attendees) and the Exhibition News Awards (1100 attendees).- Accountable for delegate management for all events, EN 30 Under Thirty, Conference News Relaunch Event, Exhibition News Race Day. Colorado Springs / Middle East

A global movement that sends young people to at risk groups all over the world. YWAM as an organisation teaches strong values, and positive morals. I was involved for six months, three months of which I lived in Colorado Springs. - I volunteered to go the Middle East for three months, working within UNICEF Syrian refugee camps, leading children’s workshops, and building positive relationships. - Without a common language, I was quickly able to build trust, using non-verbal cues, and body language. - I delivered challenging, but culturally appropriate talks to young people living in both Egypt and Lebanon, with the assistance of a translator. - Through a hobby of mine, photography, I worked with a number of different organisations through the region on their publicity material. Skills developed: Team work, communication, relationship building, and leadership.

Along side this role, I worked to bring in FatBoy as a sponsor of the festival, in a deal worth a little over £2000. - Conducting interviews with video production companies. - Directing festival video content. Doing this I was able to negotiate the initial fee down 40%, from £2500, to £1500. - Developing sponsorship partners. - Sourcing additional funding for the arts festival. - When managing the main festival manger, I was the appointed First Aid representative on site.Skilled developed: Team work, commercial awareness, leadership, and brand awareness.

Oxfam began in 2006, with the aim of creating a network of music-loving people across the UK, all united by a shared goal - to raise money to fight poverty and suffering around the world. 9 years on we're still going strong, with hundreds of incredible gigs taking place each October. - The youngest person to be appointed Oxfam Festival Manager in the history of the event. - Responsible for recruiting and managing a team of 4, to assist me in the running of this one-day charity festival. Included 4 venues, 50 performers, and concluded in raising over £2000 for Oxfam. Skills developed: Leadership, delegation, team work, communication, multitasking, and time management.

Sport Beat Music Festival began in 2013, a weekend festival that combined world class musicians with sports. - I was responsible for the contact between the artists and the festival, once a deal had been agreed. e.g. directions, tech specifications, catering riders, passes, and car parking. - Lead a team of three artist liaisons, delegating tasks down too. - I negotiated with the artist management for participation at the unplugged sessions. We had the majority of the main stage artist take part, including; Ryan Keen, The Feeling, Turin Brake, and Nizlopi.Skills developed: Time management, delegation, professional communication, and team work.

During my time at Estrat Events (eSE), I took on the role as the Forum Development Assistant. eSE identifies specific challenges affecting the private and public sectors, and having understood these issues, facilitate structured bespoke meetings that create a platform for resolution and development. - I was responsible for sourcing local event support staff. e.g. photographer, videographers, and technicians. - My role consisted of developing media partnership with new outlets from West and Central Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. - Also I venue sourced in many developing countries, often negotiating a group booking discount.Skills developed: Professional communication, negotiating, and time management.
