Using Oracle’s Web Toolkit to support modifications to a robust web-based system called SendSS (State Electronic Notifiable Disease Surveilance System), an OOP. Responsible for SendSS being online. Managed COVID website publishing for 3 years. Currently migrating from Server-based Oracle 11g to AWS version 19c. Heavy PL/SQL, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX and data modeling are all required daily to accomplish user requests and ongoing new application design and development.

Responsible for ongoing maintenance and enhancements for the New Georgia Encyclopedia (NGE) website. NGE runs on Sun Solaris servers using Apache, Oracle, Java, XML, XSL, and JSP. Fully designed and created a web application to manage Electronic Theses & Dissertations (ETD) for Graduate School and Honors Department. ETD is written in PHP using MySQL and facilitates file uploads/downloads with multiple interfaces for students, cataloging, admin, grad school and honors dept. Nominated for award for efforts on ETD. Developed statistics reporting tool for Galileo (GA Library Learning Online) to include graphs and COUNTER-compliant reports using PHP and MySQL. Team development environment encouraged sharing of knowledge on many software platforms with an emphasis on open source.

Developing enhancements and business rule changes for existing application which gathers data and reports on sales and billing for AT&T. Facilitates compensation to sales people. Full life cycle development – requirements through implementation using development, test and production databases. ORACLE 10g DB on Sun Solaris servers. Application processing consists of SQL*Loader ctl, shell scripts, sql scripts and data files. Developed comprehensive alarm/monitoring system for application using shell scripting. Developed several ORACLE Reports for the business. Key player in server/database migrations – twice in 3 years.

Created B2B web pages using Java, Java Server Pages and HTML to support fulfillment process. Responsibilities include major Oracle DBA functions involving packages/procedures/triggers/synonyms/privileges, UNIX shell scripts, SQL*Loader, Forms, Reports, Application Design/Development/Deployment (including Data Modeling), creation of User Manuals. All development was done using ORACLE 8i and Developer 6i. Taught formal classes to IS Dept. covering Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Reports, and Forms.

Used ORACLE 8 and Developer/2000 v2.1.

Senior member of team supporting Innovata's airline, hotel, and car rental schedule database application development. Was responsible for front-end forms using Forms 5.0 (Developer/2000 v2.0) on an ORACLE 8 database.

Joined Nextel to support interface development between BSCS 5.0 (off-the-shelf telephone billing and customer care package licensed from LHS) and third party vendor technologies. Actually supported international launches by developing a Trouble Logging System (TLS). TLS was developed using ORACLE Developer/2000 v1.5.

Joined MCI Contract Billing team at completion of prototype and assumed responsibility for all ORACLE Forms. The team developed a client/server telephone billing system using ORACLE 7.2 on Windows NT client and Sun Sparc server. Once in production, assumed role of ORACLE Reports lead guiding development and maintenance of over 100 reports. Other significant roles performed were acting DBA, subsystem data modeling, overall application design, and user request response. Designed all screens for ease of use and low confusion. Established standards for forms and reports development. Added many useful tools to application to maximize the efficiency of the user. Resolved data problems. System was available for limited production use in less than six months.

Responsible for development and maintenance of full suite of ORACLE Reports geared to real estate financials. Provided ORACLE Forms development as part of team converting DOS-based Asset Management System (AMS) application to Windows NT.

Provided consulting services on various ORACLE applications to several clients in the Atlanta area. Gained valuable expertise in several areas of ORACLE including installation of ORACLE 7 database on Novell server, application enhancement support for AutoCad/ORACLE -based product for electric power production plants, ORACLE Financials support (3.0 forms and reports), and advanced use of ORACLE Reports. Installed ORACLE Financials at three client sites. Became proficient using ORACLE Reports 2.0.
