Better World was founded to provide research services, strategic guidance, and operational assistance for non-profits, member associations, and trade associations in Colorado. Executive Director of the ACCT, a 501(c)(06) international trade association dedicated to the advancement of the challenge course, aerial adventure park, canopy tour, and zip line industries. ACCT is an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Accredited Standards Developer and operates accreditation and certification programs for industry. Responsible for governance reform, including bylaws revision, new accounting policies, procedures, and systems, ANSI reaccreditation, transition to new association management software platform, and successful international conference and trade show.

Founding employee with responsibility for board leadership, strategic planning, governance, business administration, development and fund raising, government affairs, and public policy. Oversight of finance and accounting, human resources, operations, standards development and certification, marketing and communications, events management, and member services. Supervision of independent contractors, volunteer instructors, and staff.

Managed national accreditation program for adventure programs including NOLS and Outward Bound USA. Oversaw accreditation council and standards committee, developed and monitored budgets, marketed program services, designed and delivered professional development trainings, supervised volunteer reviewers, conducted accreditation site reviews, provided risk management consulting for members, and evaluated program performance.

Designed and delivered educational programs and trainings for a variety of clients through a network of human service/consulting organizations including: The Browne Center at UNH, Project Adventure, and Leahy & Associates.

American Youth Foundation, Merrowvista Education Center; Administered adventure education programs for an organization providing leadership development training for youth and professional training for adults serving youth.

Managed a federal outreach and student services program providing academic assistance to low-income, first-generation college bound students. Oversaw wilderness orientation program, academic advising centers, and residential summer school program. Awarded 1.2-million-dollar federal grant to fund program.
