Techpeaks was a startup accelerator ran by TrentoRise in Trento, Italy. We pitched Snippr idea and raised pre-seed fund to co-found start-up: 88yaks S.R.L to build Snippr. Met with wonderful people and entrepreneurs from around the world. Learned a lot from my mentors who have built companies such as tickle.com, meetup.com, bit.ly, techstars etc.Learned a lot about building startups, pitching, customer discovery, idea validation, driving growth, business models, product management, product development, product marketing, lean startup principles, user experience design, competitive analysis, investment thesis, and startup hustle.

We built and launched a web/mobile content aggregation platform, called Snippr. If you follow a writer who writes in different platforms then it is really difficult to follow the content in those various platforms. You just follow the writer in Snippr platform. Snippr takes care of the rest. It aggregates those disperse articles and summarizes to form snippets of those articles. It makes super easy to follow the articles you don't want to miss from the writers you care. We tested the idea and our hypothesis using landing pages and signed up pages. We built a quick and clean prototype that worked dirty. We built algorithms to acquire the authors and their contents so that users could get an instant utility from the app.My responsibility was to do market research, perform competitive analysis, come up with features for a minimum viable product, do pre-product launch user research, define a market segment, develop KPI, and develop feature sets for subsequent iterations.I even got back to coding. I learned Ruby on Rails, AngularJS, and MongoDB. We explored twitter APIs, Facebook APIs, RSS readers, Content sniping techniques and algorithms etc.

Founded Appsmunk, a mobile app studio, and launched innovative apps like iPaidabribe, a decentralized corruption monitoring platform, and Storesmunk, a pioneering mobile marketplace connecting shoppers and retailers through loyalty programs, initially piloted with Nepal's leading retailer, Bhatbhateni.StoresMunk is a mobile e-commerce platform that connects businesses with their customers based on the loyalty program.Led an amazing and passionate team of 5 people. Was responsible for over execution from concept to market. We developed the web-based analytics platform for businesses and mobile application for consumers. We knew that we had to solve the classic chicken and egg problem. We focused on acquiring the businesses first. We hustled to acquire them. We acquired many businesses to adopt the platform. We even acquired the biggest retailer in Nepal to use our system.But we failed to acquire a critical mass of end users because the critical mass required for platforms like this to succeed didn't exist in Nepal. In 2011, I took a risky and bold decision to move from a stable career at a big company to an uncertain career in a small company.Started as a project lead for a web-based Knowledge Management Information System for a non-profit organization called Enabling State Program supported by Department for foreign development, UK. Led the project from an early development stage to the deployment stage. Implemented the agile project management process using scrum to design, develop, and deliver the project. Conducted user interviews, domain expert interviews, stakeholder interviews to define problems and needs. Scoped and estimated the project for effort and budget. Divided the project into small independent modules, and delivered those modules in phases.Undertook many roles from drawing wireframes to designing database structures, from defining technology stack to delivering presentations to different stakeholders at client locations.Institutionalized the agile software project management process within the company to scale up the consistency and quality of the project delivery.Led and delivered several projects such as a web and SMS based health reporting system for WHO in Nepal, an online project and task monitoring tool for ICIMOD etc.Designed an efficient internship program to develop talent in the company.Helped the company to grow from about 15 people to 35 people, to define org and communication structure, and to evaluate various strategic directions. Started and built the first mobile app development team in the company.Evangelized the mobile app ecosystem in Nepal by conducting hackathons (m2work, NASA space apps) , app development training programs, app design training programs, organizing app development competitions, and championing software companies to invest in mobile app development. Saw the community grow from 7 participants in the first hackathons to several hundred in later hackathons.

I excelled the training with CGPA 4.69 out of 5.After training, I joined a team in Mangalore, India that delivered software applications to Dupont, USA. The team size was about 30 people. I started as a team member to develop and support a web-based sales incentive calculation system for Dupont, USA.
