Well practiced in corporate governance principles, with over 20 years in board level roles in an array of Private Sector and NGO entities. Currently the pioneer Chairman of a start-up digital clean beauty products company, a NED and INED on various boards including a Nigerian affiliate of a Pan African banking group amongst others and also a member of the Board of Governors of IoD Nigeria Centre for Corporate Governance. Current and past board committee roles include Audit, Compliance, Governance, Credit and Investment.During a banking career spanning 30+ years, with strong business and commercial acumen plus extensive experience in deal origination, execution and distribution involving the provision of structured corporate, project and trade finance solutions, I established corporate banking and wealth management functions with a track record of success in leading business units, managing risk, ensuring regulatory compliance and embedding sustainability principles in decision making. Participated in various transformation initiatives including Culture, CX/UX, Performance Management and I led the development of an ESG and Shared Services framework amongst others. I also served on Business Combination, Innovation and Synergy Enhancement Steering Committees at a Holdco level.Decades of effective relationship management and communication skills plus a creative, approach to business analysis, strategy development and execution have resulted in numerous long-term strategic relationships and robust working partnerships.A Life and former Executive Council Member of Women in Management & Business & Politics (WIMBIZ), I am currently Chair of the WIMBoard Working Committee to get more Nigerian women on boards. Also a Fellow the Chartered Institute of Directors Nigeria, Fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered), member of the Chartered Institute of Directors United Kingdom, and Society for Corporate Governance. Previous voluntary roles include serving on the Advisory Committee that established the Nigeria Interbank Settlement System in conjunction with the Central Bank of Nigeria, membership of Code of Conduct Committee, Money Market Association Nigeria (now Financial Markets Dealers Association Nigeria) amongst others. I attended executive programmes at notable institutions including Harvard, Wharton, London Business School, Lagos Business School, successfully completed the Design Thinking programme at MIT and a certified PRINCE2 project manager and I coach/mentor many senior executives.
