Initiate and establish collaborative relationships with customers as well as maintain a close communication with scientific team of R&D department; Responsible for evaluating projects, designing & optimization of the proposal and protocol as well as trouble shooting and consulting of the details of each projects, and then implementing projects, milestone follow-up, completion of data collection, analysis, storage, presentation, and project closure with report writing and reviewing; Demonstrate projects' purpose, process, and results as requested; Offer advice and consultation on research-related topics and help meet customers' requirements and expectations. Projects mainly focus on 1) Protein engineering (rational design, directed evolution): Cloning, codon optimization, construction.2) The expression and purification of recombinant proteins (including enzymes, soluble proteins, membrane proteins), fusion protein (bi-functional protein) in different expression system and protein bio-structural study, docking,modeling and molecule dynamic simulation, BLI,SPR. 3) Enzymology and fermentation, ligand/ substrate screening; stability and immobilization/ conjugation assays.

My current research is about the TRP channel which are not only very important for sensory physiology, but also crucial to human diseases. My project is using Xenopus oocytes and mammalian cells as model systems to study the structure and function of TRP channels with electrophysiology, biochemistry, biophysics and molecular biology methods.
