My name is Cathy and I've worked as a professional software developer for the last 15 years. I'm a full stack developer, focusing primarily on custom web and mobile applications. I can handle everything from the server setup and configuration, database and stored procs, to the application programming and development, storyboards, revisions, planning and much more. My passion in this field is seeing a project past it's deployment and looking towards long term growth, R&D, and continuous delivery.I have always been a smart and energetic strategist and I started working as a junior programmer slowly going from procedural no-framework coding to structured OOP coding using structured and MVC frameworks.I've lived all over the country in my life, chasing different opportunities and no shortage of adventure along the way. Many companies I worked with were going to be "the next [big thing]". While unfortunately none of them actually became the next big thing, I learned a lot about working with startups, what works, what trends are worth pursuing. I became an avid reader, an analyst, a skeptic, a strategic thinker, and someone who is very concerned with cognitive biases, particularly looking inward.I think my personal style is radical honesty. I will never tell someone that their idea is great if I don't believe it, and they should move forward - even if I'm hurting for money. I care about long term relationships with people and will give the best possible advice I have at any stage in the cycle. All of my clients have been word of mouth referrals because I shine with intelligence and authenticity.Beyond work stuff, I'm a religious history nerd (mostly early christianity and ANE history), I'm a political activist having worked for numerous organizations over the decades, and I like brutally difficult games. I love to be intellectually challenged and I am the kind of person who can entertain an idea without necessarily accepting it. I'm an excellent "devils advocate".
