About Binay Dahal

Ph.D. in computer science with research experience in deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision with publications. I have more than 7 years of combined experience in data science, machine learning, deep learning and AI in general in academic and industry setting. During my time in academia as a research assistant, I have defined my own research agenda and conducted various research projects on Natural language processing and computer vision. Research on NLP involved use of the SOTA transformer models and LLMs and their fine-tuning. As a result, I have authored around 10 publications in various international journals and conferences.As a data scientist in various industries, I have handled multiple data science projects involving machine learning end-to-end i.e. problem gathering to model deployment. These roles have trained me to understand different domains, communicate with stakeholders and subject matter experts, know the problems, deliver the solution and communicate the results back in the way non-technical stakeholders understand.
