I am interested in the application of machine learning to material mechanics and engineering, exploring how ML techniques can elevate the study and research to tailor and design functional materials. I have worked on several projects from a computational perspective, across various material systems (Functional papers, Dual-Phase steels, SiOC ceramics, V2O5 cathode materials for Lithium Ion Batteries). This research assistant position brought me to a deeper understanding in the modelling of hyperelastic material from a micromechanical point of view. Void nucleation, porosity, damage behaviour under mechanical loading were further analytically studied, and implemented using software MAPLE.

During the research stay at LBF, I performed a series of mechanical modeling and simulation tests with a focus on nonlinear viscous, hyperelastic, thermal properties of polymer materials such as rubber using ABAQUS and have researched common damage parameters within the structural durability context.

During this research period as a graduate student, I supported my supervisor with experimental modal analysis via laser vibrometer of a T-shaped profile steel specimen and carried out the corresponding FEM simulation using commercial software as ABAQUS and ANSYS. The FE-simulation model was further extended by customized MATLAB codes.
