1. Post-doc project in the area of synthetic organometallic chemistry on “Pd(II) Complexes of an Alicyclic Indazole-Derived N-Heterocyclic Carbene: Syntheses, Characterisations and Catalytic Activity Studies” under the supervision of Associate Professor Huynh Han Vinh. Opened up a brand new research area for the Vinh group.2. A novel dimeric complex [Pd2Br4(Indy)2] has been designed, synthesized and characterised. Cleavage of this compound with various ligands (CH3CN, PPh3, pyridine) results in mononuclear species with unique catalytic properties towards Sonogashira coupling reactions.3. One manuscript based on this project has been submitted for publication.
