Started this with the intention of building a Space Tech startup—> the reason for Earth colours in the logo, whilst working a part time remote job in London construction industry.But then made more sense to dabble with building a ‘play to earn’ game, at that time.Lost the part time job, with no other sources of income, this was put in the back burner as I tried to get a job to suite my calibre. First 2 quarters of 2022 were spent in deep research of ‘play to earn’ mechanics while trying to find a job. Applied to more than 100 jobs, with one thing leading to another, but nothing materialising. Landed on a job opportunity at Open AI, took 2 months to prepare for it whilst I had already been playing with their tools for months, other than AI being a soft research subject for years prior.Got a bit carried away initially, as I dived into the core technical side of AI research for the first time. Didn’t get that job. But continued the research.In the meanwhile, seeking pre seed funding for the Metaverse Venture based on about 6 months of research. Applied to YC, and approached other investors in India, and abroad. More rejection.Got some temp work in btw which paid for next 6 months of expenses, which I spent trying to raise funds and diving deeper into the AI research. Crypto industry had a meltdown in the meanwhile, and I felt more full filled working on AI.Applied to YC again, approached select VC’s, but this time AI being the main focus of the venture, rather than the blockchain.More rejection in 2023.Been selective with my approach as it seemed no one considered merit in investing in a solo founder with long term contrarian take on current market trends. Based on the research, I have zeroed in on building an AI Native Game Engine.
