My 26+ year career has been about making a difference and getting people to exceed their potential. I love working with people and am passionate about helping them succeed. I continue my work of helping people succeed as a certified leadership coach. At Aon, in 2010, I had the unique opportunity to launch an initiative called "Control Your Destiny" that transformed the way my teams worked. This program delivered spectacular business results, greater colleague engagement, improved manager connect and ownership. We successfully created an inclusive work environment, where the focus was on “asking” rather than "telling" colleagues what they needed to achieve. The transformational initiative has continued as "Own your destiny" in 2012 and as "Live your destiny" in 2013 and it has become a way of life since then. My husband and I encountered severe losses early in our lives when we were entrepreneurs. We struggled for many years as we repaid our dues. We learnt tremendously from that experience. We learnt to persevere. We learnt the value of giving back. Leading Aon Hewitt’s CSR activities in India, under the Aon Cares banner, during my 11.5 years with them, has been one of the most satisfying aspects of my career.I strongly believe our life should be meaningful and not just spent in earning well. In 2012 we setup a not-for-profit foundation called "ShikshaDaan", whose vision is to "Fund education for employment". My husband and I are on a multi-year road trip across India named "ShikshaDaan Yatra" - the idea is to visit every district in the country and encourage people to focus on education and also to find validated local partners for ShikshaDaan. Co Founder,Shikshadaan Foundation Apr 2015 - PresentOnlineAfter 22+ years of corporate work, out of which I spent the last 11.5 awesome years with Aon Hewitt, I now embark on the next exciting adventure. In 2012, my husband and I setup our not-for-profit organization called ShikshaDaan Foundation. As the name says, its about giving for education. The segment we are focussed on is the 10th plus students that are close to getting employed. Over the next three years we will be travelling across our magical country, driving to every one of the 676 districts, 29 states, 7 union territories to identify partners and beneficiaries for ShikshaDaan. Its really exciting and the ShikshaDaan Yatra brings together our passion for travel and our life purpose to give and make a difference in the community.Watch my page for updates and yes, every one of you will need to help in this cause as we have a big hairy goal of funding education for 1.25 crore Indians (1% of India's population) :):).

Infact I hope to have my epitaph read "Lived limitless, Made a difference". Krishnan and I give through ShikshaDaan and we will make a difference in the lives of the students that we fund through scholarships. The other way that I have always made a difference in my corporate life is through coaching and mentoring. I would like to continue that and am taking up professional coaching assignments. There are several executives whom I have coached or mentored and they have benefitted greatly. Hope to benefit many others. Am especially keen to work with young budding entrepreneurs and women executives. I enjoy engaging with executives through in-company forums or through public speaking, and that is another way of living my purpose of making a difference !!

Service Delivery Leader - Hro ApacAon Hewitt Oct 2003 - Mar 2015In the 11.5 years at Aon Hewitt there was almost no area in Benefits administration that I had not been a part of. I was instrumental in establishing the Customer Service capabilities in India for Aon Hewitt. Had also managed other varied processes as well, like Ongoing client processing, Transaction Accuracy audits, Industrial Engineering Group etc. Setting up the voice operations meant not only ensuring the technology was in place, but setting up the framework for knowledge transfer and contextual training since the domain was new. I managed the India operations for the East Business Unit from Oct 2009 to Nov 2012. In 2010 I launched a 3-part, 3-year transformational initiative called "Control Your Destiny" for my team and the results were outstanding. The teams got more engaged and the sense of ownership increased significantly. The continuation of this initiative in 2012 was called "Own your destiny" and it continued in the year 2013 as "Live your Destiny". The crux of the program was to create an inclusive work environment and "ask" rather than "tell".My last 2 years at AH were spent as the Service Delivery leader for the APAC payroll outsourcing business. I managed teams located across India, Shanghai, Singapore and Philippines. The role involved P&L responsibility and the focus was on service delivery, client management – experience, retention and growth, profitability improvements, service delivery model for new product lines and managing vendor partnerships. A highlight of this stint was developing the Regional Payroll model and pulling together the vendor network. -

After being part of operations for a year and a half I moved into the transition team. I was actively involved in transition and implementation of multiple processes from the US and UK, ranging from customer service for a large credit card company to an internal technical helpdesk for a leading US consulting organization. I was also the lead coordinator for COPC both in operations and transition.
