This involves managing firewalls, antivirus software, and other security protocols.- Data Management and BackupEnsure the integrity and safety of company data through regular backups and disaster recovery plans. This also involves managing data storage according to legal and professional standards specific to the accounting industry.- Technical Support and TrainingProvide ongoing support to employees for all IT-related issues, including troubleshooting problems and training staff on new systems or software updates.- Vendor ManagementLiaise with software and hardware vendors to ensure the firm has the necessary tools for its operations and to negotiate contracts and service agreements.- IT Budgeting and Cost ManagementDevelop and manage the IT budget to ensure cost-effectiveness. This includes forecasting costs for system upgrades, new technology, and maintenance.- Strategic Planning and ImplementationCollaborate with senior management to align the IT strategy with the firm’s business goals, including implementing new technologies that increase efficiency or competitive advantage.- Project ManagementManage IT projects, from the upgrade of existing software to the deployment of new systems, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
