Seconded to the Finance Department of Shandong Zhonghua Power Company (the largest Sino-foreign joint venture in China’s thermal power sector)Major responsibilities include: -Cost controlling: compiled monthly financial report and annual budget under the review of JV’s financial manager; prepared monthly management reports for cost controlling; coordinated for periodical account audit in compliance with PRC GAAP and IAS-Financial modeling: compiled and updated the JV’s long-term business plan, provided financial analysis and simulations for JV restructuring; took charge of investment and asset impairment test based on DCF model -USD Swap: monitored market movement of US dollar interest and exchange risk for the JV’s floating US dollar loans, led the arrangement of US dollar interest rate swap contracts (nominal principal of USD 160 million) ;dealt with the relevant accounting treatment related to IAS 39 -Tax planning: took charge of implementation of preferential tax policies; restructured the secondment service contract for EDF group to avoid potential tax risks-Debt management: negotiated with banks for short and mid-term loan contracts; initiated optimization of the JV’s debt structure

Monthly reclassification and reconciliation work of payable account using Excel, Access and Oracle; participated in the global physical inventory check.
