As part of an experienced team, we strive to grow and continue to improve and manage the water and wastewater assets owned by PWSD#2.

Alliance Water Resources is the leading provider of comprehensive management and contract operations services in Missouri for more than 25 years. As an employee of Alliance, I worked out of the St. Charles area as the CAD/GIS Mapping Technician for Public Water Supply District No 2. My responsibilities involve digitizing and mapping out the water and sanitary system using Autocad Map, ESRI ArcDesktop software, and Trimble GPS devices to achieve the goal of a fully functional GIS environment. I absolutely loved this job, the people, and management. Learning the management contract with Alliance was ending was sad, but I am looking forward to continuing my responsibilities under the new management team as a District employee.

I was originally employed as a CAD Technician, but due to lack of available work at the time I was asked to join the survey team. I never had any training or exposure to surveying, but was excited at the opportunity and looking forward to learning the trade. A few of the jobs I participated in on a regular basis included operating transits to record and collect data, locating and marking control points, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, lot/spot surveys, grade staking, and construction staking. After ten months the work load continued to decline and it was determined that I was no longer needed. I happily parted ways with PRS and enjoyed my experience in surveying.

The company has changed names and ownership many times over the years. I was hired into the Design Extender division of GLA International, previously a division of Brooks Fiber Properties. I was part of a team of talented drafters and designers working on projects across the US, drafting and designing CATV systems and Fiber Optic communication networks in preperation for today's high speed data needs.
