As Crisis Line Director, I supervise and direct the 24 hour crisis line program including day-to-day operations, emergency support, and staff and volunteer management. Working closely with the Clinical Director, Text Line Coordinator, and Volunteer Outreach and Training Coordinator, I work to ensure complete compliance with accreditation standards and internal policies and procedures to maintain program efficacy through program evaluation projects.

I manage the 24 hour crisis lines including oversight on the training, scheduling, and quality assurance, of volunteers and paid staff members in their work in answering the 24 hour crisis lines.

I recruited, scheduled, trained, and managed about 100 volunteers per year, who answer the 24 hour crisis lines.

I was state certified to provide free and anonymous counseling, education and HIV testing to people in the community. As a member of the Berkeley Free Clinic, I was also in charge of scheduling and training new volunteers.-Used client-centered counseling to assess HIV risk and to work collaboratively with clients to create concrete steps to reduce HIV risk-Worked with a diverse population including people use IV and other drugs-Assessed client’s stage of change to provide the intervention that best matched the client’s needs -Scheduled and supervised on-shift counselors-Taught training classes on Domestic Violence, Basic Counseling Skills, and Non-violent Communication Skills-Trained new counselors in the counseling sessions by providing guidance and feedback

I was part of a team of teachers that organized social Israeli Dancing once a week.

I taught folk dance in a religious school setting to children age K-7th grade. I also lead folk dancing to adults and children during holidays and family shabbat.

-Trained 21 Educators to hold confidential appointments and group presentations about sexual health, including contraceptive methods, safe sex, sexually transmitted diseases, and self examinations-Held one-one-one confidential appointments for 30 students on sexual health in the 2002-2003 academic year-Presented sexual health information to 300+ students on campus in dormitory and classrooms settings

-Coordinated regular soup kitchen visits, guest speakers, and community service oppurtunities that spread awareness about hunger and homelessness-Organized the largest Hunger Clean up, a one day community service event, in the state, with 155 volunteers raising over $1500 donated to local, national, and international charities.
