Department: Chemical Sciences Division, SINPProjects• SINP—DAE, XII five year plan project “Trace, Ultra-trace Analysis and Isotope Production (TULIP)”, SINP.• SINP-DAE XI five year plan project ‘‘Trace Analysis: Detection, Dynamics and Speciation (TADDS)’’, SINP.• Short-term SINP-CERN collaborative research project in 2009, under ‘EURISOL’ Task 2 Design Study, ISOLDE, CERN, 2009, Location: PSI, SwitzerlandResearch Activities• The development of suitable production routes of no-carrier-added radionuclides by well judged projectile-target combination & development of analytical separation methodologies to separate NCA radionuclides from the target matrix.• Trace/ Ultra-trace scale elemental separation & detection by ICP-OES. • Separation of protein (Conarachin II) from peanut (Arachis hypogea), and investigation of its promising biosensor activities.• Evaluation of the γ-spectra of liquid mercury spallation target sample for product radionuclides under the short project in task 2 of design study of EURISOL, in 2009.
