Being a trainer with over 20 years of experience on three continents, Europe, North-America and the APAC region. While residing on all three continents, I have worked with ifm electronic, a leading manufacturer of industrial automation solutions. For 5 years product launches and product marketing were a big part of my daily activities. I was Product Manager SEA, giving a German product an Asian twist, making it ready to market for the team.For over a year, I am employed as a full time trainer for the APAC region. A very satisfying job. Training people in different countries with very different backgrounds. My objective is to increase their knowledge and confidence. Having only training experience is often not sufficient to convince our internal and external clients. I was fortunate enough to gain irreplaceable field sales experience during my time in North America. It brings additional value and is used every training.I’m currently setting up a harmonized training and evaluation program for the APAC region. This allows me to measure the strengths of the various teams I am working with. I’m very excited about this as well as the future of automation; things like IoT or Industrie 4.0. This will lead to a big change for the industries of the future, but the minds have to made ready today. Colleagues know me as a problem solver and a trusted advisor. Being creative in marketing and training, coming up with a new approach every training. As a trainer, I can and have to work well alone. But together with my clients, great interactions do happen.I have a BaSc in Chemistry from a University in the Netherlands and got trained by the University of Life on sales, automation and production processes.
