Responsible for developing and supporting planning, monitoring, evaluation, documentation, learning and reporting within NEPCO and its projects in line with FCA’s policies and guidelines. Responsible for rolling out and effective implementation of FCA’s MEAL guidelines, practices and tools, and Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) requirements. Build the capacity of relevant FCA team members and partner organisations in M&E tools and mechanisms.

Key achievements: Lead surveys and evaluation funded from different Donors. Provided technical support to review various RFPs/EOIs and prepare bid proposals, with successful bids of 8 projects with over 80 lakhs in funding. Lead team of researchers, facilitated digital data collection training, tools development and set up in KOBO application, conducted number of KIIs and FGDs, analyzed quantitative and qualitative data collection and submitted high quality reports and deliverables to client’s satisfaction. •Provided technical support on MEAL for 4 CBDRR projects and one PMER_IM-CEA project. Prepared MEL plan for 4 of those projects, supported to revise their logframe and theory of change considering COVID-19, Supported for Proposal development of USAID BHA fund, monitored and supported the projects for effective implementation, reviewed the status of indicators of the projects and upload progress into the online database, compiled and finalized periodic reports of the project, facilitated two learning workshops and review-reflection meetings, documented learning, finalized success stories for publication, developed TORs for project evaluations, and reviewed the reports and databased from the consultants as part of oversight to complete the consultant’s assignments.• Supported the MEAL Manager to complete baseline surveys of two DRR projects, one midterm review and one final evaluation of PMER_IM project along with support supervise project staff and implement the PMER_IM-CEA project with budget management of $500K. • Supported American Red cross Indonesia team in preparing endline survey report (Analyzed data with 715 respondents using SPSS software) .• Supported NRCS CEA team to develop their Community Engagement Accountability (CEA) strategy, SOP for Community Feedback mechanism, and GESI/PGI integrated database. Also, facilitated sessions on PMER_IM TOT training and CEA training to NRCS HQ and districts staffs. Also, reviewed budget of projects in a monthly basis, participated in budget variance analysis (BVA) meetings and guide and support NRCS for effective budget planning and implementation.

• Led MEAL for NORAD funded Sahayatra - 2 Integrated Project (Education, Child Protection, Child Rights Governance, DRR, and GESI Transformation), helping revise the project’s theory of change and logframe, prepare and implement the MEAL plan, and budget and execute MEAL activities. • Successfully completed baseline survey of 38 outcome indicators (quantitative and qualitative), supported to develop MEAL framework with ensuring of adequate MEAL budget of PNGOs, helped build MEAL related capacities of PNGOs, assisted project team to develop quality benchmarks (QB) for project’s interventions, designed different monitoring and data management checklists, monitored project performance and quality of implementation, provided feedback to team to improve project performance based on the monitoring findings, followed up with team on implementation of agreed actions plans in response to the monitoring findings, and helped uphold project’s accountability with oversight in implementation of the complaint feedback mechanism.• Supported in design and implementation of annual indicator surveys for the project, design and maintain the project’s information management system in OPMIS with updated data on beneficiary reach and project implementation and prepare project’s success (case) stories with lessons learnt.• Carried out situation analysis and led 3 action/operation research with support for its wide dissemination and uptake by stakeholders, prepared municipal profiles of working Palikas of SCI, and coordinated with SCI Norway and CO MEAL staffs within PDQ and program operation department.

• Led MEAL for DFID funded Nepal School Safer Project (Consortium project lead by Crown Agents as Prime), helping to design and implement the MEAL plan, complete the baseline survey, build MEAL capacity of PNGOs and project team, develop quality benchmark and carry out monitoring based on the quality benchmarks, conduct project performance monitoring with debrief to project team for effective project implementation, maintain the project’s database and oversee the project’s accountability system, document project learning, and prepare periodic reports and success stories.

• Led MEAL for ECHO funded DRR in Education Projects (Consortium project involving Save the Children, World Vision, and Plan International), helping to set up a common MEAL framework and system for the consortium, conduct situation analysis and support in proposal development, design and implement the logframe and the MEAL plan, develop and maintain the project’s information management system, build capacity of project team in the consortium and PNGOs, complete 2 baseline surveys and 2 endline surveys, carry out a number of operational research activities and one evaluation for the project.• Designed tools for data collection and analysis, support to collect and manage project data, monitor project performance and quality in implementation, debrief monitoring findings to project team and help improve effectiveness of project delivery, provide MEAL technical backstopping to project team and oversee the project’s accountability system, prepare and submit periodic progress and performance reports, document project impacts and best practices, develop case stories and other knowledge products to effectively communicate project learning and share project achievements, facilitate learning events and workshops to document and share lessons and achievements, and closely coordinate with MEAL section of consortium partners on routine MEAL activities.

• Successfully ensured smooth function of MEAL system in the regional office as well as all PNGOs, assisted to carry out comprehensive compliance monitoring of PNGOs, conducted MEAL capacity assessments of PNGOs and helped build their capacity based on gaps identified, supervised/mentored PNGO MEAL team, and carried out beneficiary satisfaction surveys and led operation of complaint feedback mechanisms to uphold projects’ accountability.• Conducted project output and quality benchmark monitoring, maintained project databases with data quality assurance, shared monitoring reports to project team and tracked implementation of action plans prepared based on monitoring findings to improve project performance, led numerous baseline/midline/endline surveys, facilitated many evaluation and operational research activities, documented project lessons and prepared periodic reports, developed case stories and knowledge products, and provided required MEAL technical support to project teams. • Completed qualitative study on “Rapid Assessment on Impact of Current Crisis (Blockade and Terai Unrest)” among Children in Save the Children Working areas of Nepal.

• Set up MEAL system and developed MEAL guideline for the organization, ensured detailed implementation plans were prepared with incorporation of identified risks and clear mention of assumptions, designed community-based monitoring tools and helped in its roll-out for self-monitoring and reporting by beneficiary communities, developed monitoring checklists and carried out monthly and quarterly monitoring, prepared monitoring reports and debriefed project teams to ensure quality program delivery, collected/compiled and analyzed project data and shared analysis report to project management, maintained updated project database with assurance of data quality, documented evidences of project results and prepared different learning documents, help to enrich periodic progress reports developed by project coordinators with project monitoring and performance data. • Built capacity of project team, trained project team and enumerators in CEMIS surveys, independently analyzed 1500 CEMIS datasets, prepared the survey report and submitted to donors. Regularly, supported community development facilitator and project coordinators in donor reporting.

• Carried out monitoring of project activities of World Food Program (WFP) funded FFW (Food for work) CFW (Cash for work), and MCHN (Material Child Health and Nutrition) projects in Rukum, Rolpa, Jajarkot, Dailekh, Kalikot, and Jumla districts. Analyze the monitoring data and provide feedback to project team to improve project performance with sharing of monitoring findings. • Maintained close liaison with WFP sub-office, government’s line agencies, RCIW technical team and other stakeholders while coordinating with project teams at district level for smooth implementation of RCIW activities and supporting to strengthen joint planning and monitoring among the stakeholders.• Supported the District Project Support Unit (DPSU) in monitoring efficient utilization of resources and timely implementation of project activities ensuring minimum quality standards, and reporting beneficiary information and project progress information to WFP sub-office.• Measure and report project results, document project lessons and best practices, prepare process documents and case stories, develop periodic project progress reports, and share these documents to the project manager and the donor. Independently analyzed 350 respondent datasets as part of the endline survey of the projects and prepared the endline survey and the project completion reports.

• Maintained effective coordination with donor agencies (UNWFP and DANIDA) and liaised with different government’s line agencies, partner organizations and other stakeholders for smooth implementation of the food security and nutrition project in Udayapur district. Supported project coordinator in planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, and supervision of project activities.• Designed required M&E tools ((checklists/forms/templates) and utilized them to collect, analyze and report project progress and indicator performance data as well as monitor filed situation and project implementation with debriefing to project team for quality delivery of the project. Maintained updated project database with preparation of period progress reports, documentation of best practices and lessons with development of case studies and success stories, and prepared and submitted final project completion report to the donor agencies.• Managed and maintained database of 3500 Households in excel spreadsheets and tracked the services intervened at beneficiary level.
