Leads the mechanical section of Mesaieed Terminal and Export dept, which has a mandate for the storage, global export & refinery supply of Qatar Land Crude oil and Naphtha. Export terminal in our area was bench marked by Juran institute as one of the best-in-class terminals in the world.Undertaking fiscal, safety & engineering responsibilities for plant engineering, maintenance operations, planning & project management for a process plant complex comprising Crude oil/ Naphtha storage facilities, tank farms, cross country pipelines, export terminal, multi product berth facilities, export shipping pumps, multiproduct loading arms, associated process plant facilities, SBM, Vapour recovery units and associated utilities with their control systems.Directs and control; engineering, optimization, maintenance operations, condition monitoring of complex rotating /static equip. and their associated control systems/SCADA/PLC's. Executes several in house projects and provides specialist advice/ technical support to major capital projects for plant facility upgrade, capacity expansion, major equipment re-engineering, rehabilitation etc., during the various stages of project initiation, feasibility study, concept optimization & scope of work preparation for FEED, EPIC/ECS. Involved in tendering/contracting process, RCA, RA studies. Directs/control FAT, SAT, commissioning & take over of new facilities and equipment. Conducts design development and contests/challenges international consultant's designs in order to ensure that projects are in line with engineering principles,meeting industry & international standards,codes and practices & are fit for purpose/safe to operate. Is a super user and manages multi modules of SAP R/3 in CMMS. Implements and monitors KPI'sExercising management control and financial authority as per the manual of authorities. Previously held middle management positions, handling similar activities in Gas distribution networks & NGL plants of QP.

Worked as a Senior Plant Engineer of hydrocarbon processing plants [ Olefins, Polyolefins, Polyethylene plants ( LLDPE / HDPE ) with fluidized reactor bed technology licensed by BP chemicals, UK and Butene-1 Plant, licensed by IFP, France] of the Gas Cracker complex of Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (IPCL). (Now Reliance Industries). Undertaken fiscal, safety & engineering responsibilities pertaining to plant engineering activities, maintenance operations, planning & project management, materials & spares management, equipment re-engineering etc for the facility & associated utilities. Preventive, predictive/proactive maintenance strategies, trouble shooting and reliability aspects of major static equipment like reactors, various types of heat exchangers, columns, high pressure vessels, silos, tanks, pipelines, valves etc were handled. Undertaken multifaceted engineering, operations, condition monitoring, reliability aspects, design improvements etc for specialized rotating equipment like high capacity centrifugal and positive displacement compressors, various types of pumping systems, blowers, twin screw extruders, agitators, rotary valves, mechanical sealing systems, automated bagging systems etc. Was involved in the team dealing with variable speed drives, Honey well TDC-3000 DCS, & PLC'S. Started my career as a management trainee with the company & then moved upwards to various middle management positions. Was a project core team member during the FEED & EPIC stages of LLDPE/HDPE/Butene-1 hydrocarbon processing plants. Was a key member of the core team responsible for the expansion project of LLDPE/HDPE plant to increase the capacity of one train from 80,000 to 140,000 TPA.Was a team leader in the Pre-commissioning, commissioning, start up, stabilization, trouble shooting & optimization of the plants. Was a Project lead in several turnarounds. Identified equipment/system performance issues and implemented improvements.
