As a Assistant store manager for Iceland I have the opportunity to shape my team and store by taking complete ownership of my stores commercial activity to ensure targets are achieved and exceeded whilst being creative and unique in the visual merchandising and display of my product range. And by doing so was achieving store turnover of ranging £6-7 million per annum.I will inspire and coach my team to always deliver a excellent shop floor on a daily basis.

My overall day to day purpose is to drive the performance of the store team to deliver business results and operational excellence.Key responsibilities are:- Lead 20 staff including supervisors and duty managers in operation of store turnover ranging £1.5m - £3m per annum.- Conduct weekly analysis on store sales and operations to identify areas of focus.- I take ownership of implementing business decisions and effectively communicate them to the team.- Complete Periodic Business Reviews with cluster manager to identify trends and agree improvements.- Drive sales through all available channels and marketing in store.- Optimum productivity delivered in store to focus on customer service.- Product offering represents local population in store with key lines promoted.- Continuously improving customer service in store with defined actions to improve.- Adherence and correct implementation of processes, policies and procedures in store.- Ongoing cost control to deliver all financial targets and drive company initiatives.- All wage based people measures are achieved in store e.g. absence, labour turnover.- Effectively manages team performance and enables the team to work at their best by monitoring, coaching, providing feedback, problem solving and communicating with pace and urgency.- Actively drives store talent programmes and internal development into management roles.

Park Royal

Moved into this role to amend and improve the process element of the department. Main project was to improve the department availability and colleagues productivity. Responsible for managing and coaching both process and replenishment colleagues.Running and delivering and excellent availability for customers, encourage the team to maximise sales, ensure the team achieves its department targets and objectives, rota planning and wage planning, lead and coach the team in their ability to effectively deliver the company's service standards. I would also effectively deal with customers issues , communicate goals and objectives to the team , ensure department displays are well maintained , replenished , faced up and stock rotated in line with company guidelines and monitor regularly to minimise wastage in the department .
