As embedded in our name, TESC (Tech Enabled Supply Chain), we are a tech driven 3PL (3rd Party Logistics) company focusing on contract logistics across 8 states in India. I joined the executive team to start this great journey of bringing the scale and the uniformity to the fragmented sector by bringing together the innovative and relevant technologies that simplify the logistics of our customers. With our own technology team, we have built the TESC platform that brings together all functions of contract logistics in its digital form. We enabled the new use cases like blockchain based distribution, predictive visibility and planning based on AI, computer vision etc. While TESC had been a new journey, it originated from decades old business group (https://MRLGroup.com) that runs transportation since 1962.

Watershed Organisation Trust (WOTR) is a globally recognised organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of millions of poor villagers across India through participatory watershed development and ecosystems restoration, climate resilient sustainable agriculture, integrated and efficient water management and climate change adaptation, with a special emphasis on building resilience of vulnerable communities, farmers, and women. WOTR was established in 1993 and is headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra, India.As a contribution to society and individual CSR activity, WOTR provided me the right channel and opportunity to make a difference in development sector. I worked as the principal technology consultant and engaged in defining the IT strategy and delivery processes.

Successfully concluded the Tech Entrepreneur’s Journey from startup to strategic acquisition by one of the largest logistics company in India! SOPPA is a tech enabled multi-modal transportation company operating primarily in LTL space. The journey began by transforming an classic, asset heavy transportation company into technology driven, fully asset light entity, without affecting the service levels of contractual customers. SOPPA business model addresses both demand and supply side problems in the ecosystem. Our unique technology enables monetizing the empty capacity while the truck is enroute. SOPPA is a B2B focused, Less than Truck load (LTL) transportation company providing multi state express cargo service, first mile and last mile distribution services. As a Co-Founder and CTO, I was responsible for identification, ideation, engineering and implementation of the technology solutions that align with the business vision and constant pivoting. As a greenfield project I built our own IP in form of the tech platform that encompasses all facets of LTL business (also supporting FTL) by using right combination of in-house team (built from the scratch) and the outsourced talent. The usage of latest technology and algorithms enabled us to create state of art multi modal routing engine, smart manifestation and real time hyperlocal solution.However, the most exciting part of this endeavor was the scale up of revenue in 18 months and strenuous experience of relentlessly facing the VCs and strategic investors one after another with same passion, enthusiasm and hope. Since it ended successfully, now it looks above board and enjoyable.

Originally a HR tech company focusing on creation of products for recruitment industry (ATS -Applicant tracking system, In-house Human resource planning and fulfillment system etc.). Later we pivoted to being a FinTech company attempting to catch up on the GST opportunity just arisen in India. Created the accounting software and a platform for GST compliances.

Successful exit by way of sale of IP along with transfer of staff to one of the largest tech companies operating in India. Apart from Sarthrakshak, a Fleet management solution that enabled the successful exit, an array of products was created and sold to multiple customers in T&T sector. Created products for both B2B and B2C space. First encounter with digital marketing and the long tail. Also delivered few bespoke data warehousing and real time revenue recognition systems under software services business.
