• Provides technical and (business consultative) services during the pre-sales and post-sales cycle. • Provide technical or business analytical leadership for specific product groups or business objectives in order to engage the customer or implement and maintain an engagement.• Contribute to the development of strategies, policies and best practices• Develop and cultivate strong customer relationships ensuring a 'customer for life' relationship. Proactively alert Program/Project Manager and sales team of potential problems based upon strong working knowledge of software/hardware compatibility within the customer's environment.• Support the design and development of the technical content defined in the Statement of Work. Designs the EMC solution and supports the installation, customization and integration of the solution. Prepare technical architectural and implementation design documents and works with the Project Manager to develop the implementation plan. Works closely with the Project Manager to define project deliverables and schedules.• Participate, as needed, as a technical expert in the pre-sales qualification and is responsible for the delivery of the technical architectural design, strategies and plans that will be delivered in the engagement. Also responsible for the creation of proposals that address current and evolving client requirements• Participate in requirements gathering for project engagements

Implementing backup and recovery solutions for large enterprise customers of Avamar, Data Domain and Networker.Setup a new environment or migrate from an existing environment & provide a knowledge transfer.

Technical Responsibilities:• Provide Level 2 support for HP Data Protector.• Remote support using Webex, HP Rooms & telephone to APJ/EMEA/AMS regions.• Problem solving which includes media management, library configuration, backup and recovery.• Configure & fix integration based issues like Exchange, SQL, Oracle, SAP, VMWARE, MSVSS etc.• Disaster recovery management.• Help & solve technical queries of L1 team.• Collaborate with L3 to fix complex issue. This includes debugging & source code analysis.• Reproduce customer scenarios in labs, provide test binaries from engineering to fix bugs.Other Responsibilities:• Create and publish technical documents to knowledge base.• Provide internal training to L1 team.• New hire training on product and its concepts. • Involved in technical & management escalations.• Direct interaction with HP Sales & Profession Services (PSO) for architect consultations.

• Troubleshooting includes Windows 2000 / 2003 backup and recovery including complete disaster recovery of Windows 2000/2003/Exchange 2000/2003/ SQL 2000/2005 servers.• Job involves providing 24/7 voice and electronic support to Veritas Backup Exec, CPS for clients across the globe.• Helping the client configure and troubleshoot backup job definitions and strategies.• Configuring Backup Exec with SAN/NAS.• Troubleshooting storage hardware issues with respect to Backup Exec.• Implementation of Backup and Restore strategy, viz., Media Management, Tape rotation, Backup methods etc.• Simulate customer issues related to BEWS & CPS on test servers to provide accurate troubleshooting steps and resolve the issues. • Assisted the team members and others on the floor on technical issues. • Documenting all case activity using Titan case management system • Update to common shares to share knowledge and enrich support Knowledge Base.• Creating lab environment & try to reproduce the issue at our end to understand the root cause.• Presentations on various aspects, topics so as to share the knowledge & experience among the team.
