My research project was focused on “How Does Acetate-Based Biostimulant Work Against Drought Stress in Wheat”.I studied the efficiency of Skeep, an acetate-based biostimulant (Ac-Planta Inc, Japan) in wheat (Scepter) at the early phase of wheat’s growth stage. I grew wheat samples at the world-renowned Plant Accelerator at Waite Campus in a hydroponic system. These samples were grown for approximately 4 weeks where I investigated the following experiments:1.The difference between shoot, root length and weight between the plants treated with Skeep and the plants that were not treated by Skeep.2. This was followed up by putting the plants in a drought stress environment to see how long the plants of the two different treatments would take to become susceptible to drought stressed situations.3. I also analysed if the experimented plants could recover after being exposed to drought conditions by placing them back into the hydroponics system. Show less
