Cold Hollow to Canada (CHC) is a partnership of community members working together toward the common goal of land stewardship and wildlife habitat conservation through education and outreach, and coordination between local conservation commissions and public entities, and non-profit organizations that share our vision of healthy forests and wildlife for future generations.

In addition to overseeing the Voices for the Lake Project, worked with the education department focused on conservation and stewardship messaging in daily programming for guests. Weekly conservation or nature themed news stories for the local NBC news affiliate WPTZ NewsChannel 5. These stories are then turned into programming on the floor at ECHO to connect our guests with relevant and real time issues or happenings in our region.

Recruited to new position at Center to assess residential programming for adults, families, youth & conservation leaders. Oversee day-to-day operations of facility. Lead boat tours & programs for guests. Assess the potential for the Center to become year-round facility.

Burlington, Vermont Area

Provide educational programming & tools promoting specific Audubon Vermont conservation goals & initiatives on a statewide basis. Worked with Conservation Director Jim Shallow to create the Forest Bird Initiative, which provides targeted conservation planning for forest birds by working with foresters, loggers, and private landowners. Work with Audubon Chapters to align their programmatic goals with conservation initiatives. Adapt National Audubon programs such as Great Backyard Bird Count, Audubon Adventures & Audubon at Home. Host of weekly radio program on birds & bird conservation at community radio station; recorded, edited & produced podcast online.

Responsible for education programs for preschoolers, school children, adults & Seniors. Special areas of interest include northern forest birds, insects, wildflowers, native plants, and landscaping for wildlife. Oversee monitoring projects at the center including monthly monitoring bird walks & red-backed salamanders.
