Ink runs in her blood. Lissa attended her first press approval at the age of 2 with her father Peter Constantine, a 30 year veteran of the printing industry in Montreal, her home town. As a teenager, her mother’s eye for style and ever-present fashion magazines influenced her love of fashion, art and design.After graduating from Algonquin College in 1991 and working briefly for other design firms, Lissa, a self-taught designer, launched BirdDog Design in 1995. Her primary focus was the creation of a consistent & strong work ethic, while maintaining her independence & beliefs. This led to gradual liaisons with like-minded creators, diverse collaborators and loyal clients. Her uniqueness attracts a specific & open minded entourage giving her opportunities to design projects and create iconic brands for a wide range of start-up businesses, providing them with the reassurance needed to believe in their own vision and brand. Her exploits extend beyond established businesses, restaurants, arts and entertainment, to non-profit, charities, festivals and events, health and wellness, investment advisors, educational institutions; the list goes on.Lissa is an award winning graphic designer and recipient of the prestigious 40 Under 40 Award from the Ottawa Business Journal. She's been a member of the Ottawa Executives' Association since 2010 & currently sits on its Board of Directors. She is a supporter of Women for Mental Health at The Royal and has given of her time and expertise to design campaigns for Hope Volleyball SummerFest, The Shepherds of Good Hope, Carefor, and her mother’s not-for-profit Project Chance Africa. There are no boundaries or limitations to the scope of Lissa's vision, and her enthusiasm. She continues to look for new challenges welcoming the dramatic shifts in her industry, always looking around the corner for what’s next!
