Lifestyle Community Garden is all about growing a garden and growing together as a community for a healthier better environment for all.In 2017 we had an idea to start a garden and to grow vegetables, herbs, fruit and other edible plants in an organic sustainable way with emphasis on permaculture, bio diversity and companion planting.The seed was planted within the group and we applied for help and funding to turn our vision into reality.With our gratefully received funds and much appreciated help from Food 4Macc and Tesco we started planting and sowing beets, salad greens, herbs, rhubarb, tomatoes, beans and brassicas.All Lifestyle Group members enjoyed creating a vibrant and colourful garden sign made from old pallets in our art club sessions, which is displayed on the wall above by the community garden and at the entrance of Macclesfield Leisure Centre.

I work at day centres with adults with additional needs in a social care setting, providing, leading and supporting heath enhancing creative activities such as art/ sculpture, circle dance, drama and script writing, organic gardening and community engagement, adapted cycling, walking group, parachute games, day trips , enabling attending customers to have a fulfilled enjoyable time and reach their maximum potential.
