Reknown for artisan excellence and luxury detailing, only working with finest leathers and finishing crafts skills.The W's collection got introduced in all major key accounts worldwide on the luxury high end retailing.

Designing both M's and W's shoes and leather goods for Pollini main collection and special concepts for their own retail.

Providing design concepts for their Women's Shoes Collection and working with MD Tommi Saibene to pursue new projects and brand extensions.

In 1996 have launched my own Label to venture into the Luxury leather goods arena. Named Ironie and later Ironie by Birgit Kollhof have been designing highly feminine shoes with a twist. Shoes were manufactured in Italy at most skilled shoe factories and presented at Premiére Classe in Paris and exclusive Visitors show at Micam in Milan, it quickly gained recognition and commercial success; particularly in Japan (distributed by HP France) and across most selected retailers worldwide like Bergdorf Goodman or Neiman Marcus. Distinguished by highly specialized press coverage on all major fashion magazines like Vogue USA and Vogue Italia; Harper's Bazaar; ELLE; Spur, Madame and Figaro in Japan among others, including exclusive interviews and profile portraits.

Designed extensively for:Missoni, Samsonite, Guess, ESPRIT, Alberto Guardiani, CLOSED , Attitude/Paola Ferrari beside own label IRONIE.Since 1996 contributed with all W's designs for highly directional brand Dry-shoD and collaborations with Comme des Garcons, Neil Barrett and Kostas Murkudis.Went on designing Dry-shoD's new M's clothing collection showcased at Milan's Fashion Week in January 2001 with innovative virtual catwalk and honoured with an exclusive window at Isetan in Tokyo.
