From 2009-2019, Birgit worked at EY as a Senior Manager (Risk Advisory) and was the Data Privacy Leader for EY NL Advisory (10 FTE). From 2017-2019, Birgit set up and led the global Internal Audit team of a Swedish multinational located in Amsterdam and Stockholm (15 FTE). Coordinated and supported 50 global internal audits on an annual basis and performed quality control. Worked in more than 30 countries within 1.5 years (average 3 weeks per month abroad) reporting directly to the Global Head of Internal Audit.In 2013, she lived in New York City and was part of the Internal Audit team of an American multinational confectionery, food and beverage conglomerate. During her first 1.5 years at EY, Birgit worked as a financial auditor at an insurer and re-insurer in The Netherlands. Additionally, for three years, she performed the audit of the sustainability / CSR reports of various multinationals.
