Hi, I’m Birinder Singh, a Customer Service Representative at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers and an Urban and Regional Planning student at Toronto Metropolitan University with an interest in shaping sustainable and inclusive cities. My goal is to build a career in urban planning, and I’m excited to bring my skills and passion to an internship in this field. Through my work at Ritchie Bros., I’ve developed strong communication skills by helping customers navigate issues and understanding their needs. I know how to connect with people, speak two languages, solve problems, and work effectively under pressure which are qualities I believe are vital in urban planning when dealing with community stakeholders and complex projects. My studies have given me a solid foundation in planning principles, from sustainable design to government planning policies such as the Planning Act. I’m especially drawn to politics and history and how they influence urban spaces. I’m ready to apply what I’ve learned to real-world projects and make a positive impact on communities.
