With more than a decade of experience of mobile phones software development and embedded system development Jörgen works within research and development of cutting edge software for mobile devices. With InsideMaps he wants us to rethink the way we interact with our homes by creating a virtual version of your home on the web using a easy to use capture platform that can recreate 3D structure from regular cameras.Previously with Sony Ericsson Silicon Valley as Head of Applications & Services Development in Silicon Valley he led the development of new services for the Xperia range of smart phones and tablets including the MyXperia service.Jörgen have continuously found new challenges with Ericsson and Sony Ericsson. Initially Jörgen was hired as a software developer and was the lead for many new technologies introduced in the mobile phone software. In parallel of participating in the standardization forums of IrMC, 3GPP and WAP he also implemented these standards; calendar and phonebook sync, first Multimedia Messaging System (MMS) phone in Europe and Sony Ericsson’s first phone with a browser. In 2001 the mobile division of Ericsson was split into two parts, one of which became Sony Ericsson, at Sony Ericsson Jörgen was one of the first to join a newly formed Software Architecture Team to oversee the architecture for the software within Sony Ericsson. He successfully launched many generations of software for the feature phones, including the first Cybershot and Walkman phones. 2008 he was asked to move to US west coast and help build the Sony Ericsson Silicon Valley office.Specialties: Computer Vision.
