BPTL is composed of 5 divisions.Indian Tool Manufacturers (ITM) division - A Division of Birla Precision Limited, spearheaded in the year 1937, manufactures and supplies High Speed Steel Cutting tools in India. Intensive R&D is ingrained in ITM's operation on a continuous basis which allows it to come up with products to cater the demand of innovative products in Indian market, as well as globally.ITM products are well known as "Dagger Brand", produced using the finest quality high speed Steel which conform to stringent worldwide benchmarks and are currently exported to the European and American markets apart from being sold in Indian market with wide distribution network. ITM also has the leading market share of Drills in India.Tool Holder division - Birla Precision Technologies Ltd (BPT) the erstwhile Birla Kennametal Ltd was established in 1986, as a Joint Venture between Kennametal, a US $4 Bn conglomerate and Birla group and was called Birla Kennametal. Here we manufacture Tool holders, Collets, Work Holdings among others in this division. BPT caters to international market –USA, Germany and APAC, and in recent times to the Far East including China supplying rotating Tool holders in AT3 class. Besides, BPT also sells in domestic market in a large way to all major customers. Our Foundry and Automotive division fabricates castings, and Auto Components. This division was erstwhile Birla Perucchini, a JV with Perucchini spa, Italy. Big league names like Honeywell, Sundram Fasteners and Cummins trust and rely on us for high quality products.Casting Machining division - the fourth division which is a forward integration for the Foundry business.Precision Components division - erstwhile a 100% exports division, which manufactures engine components, shafts, etc. for various automotive clients abroad. It is now just getting into Domestic Market.
